Fowey is a picturesque historic town with narrow winding streets leading down to one of the most beautiful harbours on the south coast. In summer the town bustles with visitors and the harbour is filled with boats of every kind. Fowey is also a working port, and cargo boats arrive regularly to collect China Clay. Cruise Liners are also welcomed in the summer months. In winter Fowey takes on a quiet air, but many shops and restaurants are still open and more and more visitors are choosing to enjoy this time of year.
